All your Harbor apps,
one quiet place.
Harbor shows every Harbor app, tells you when one has an update, and holds their settings — so the apps themselves can stay small.
Click the window to open an app’s page. The Dock below holds only Harbor apps; each icon takes you to its site.
A harbour, not a store.
Every app, at a glance
What’s installed, what’s current, and what you haven’t tried yet.
Updates, told not taken
Harbor tells you when there’s a new version and opens its page. It never downloads anything by itself.
Settings in one place
Each app describes its settings; Harbor draws them and the app picks up a change instantly.
Quiet and private
One small catalog file, fetched at most twice a day, is all Harbor reads from the internet. Nothing is sent.
In the harbour
Free. Calm. Yours.
No account, no tracking, no store.
Download for freemacOS 15 or later. Unzip, move Harbor to Applications, and the first time right-click it and choose Open.
Questions
Do I need Harbor to use Inlet or Ferry?
No. Each app works on its own and keeps a small Settings window. Harbor just gathers them in one place.
Does Harbor install or update apps for me?
No, on purpose. Get and Update open the app’s website, where you download it like any other app. Nothing changes on your Mac behind your back.
How do settings reach the apps?
Each app ships a small file describing its settings. Harbor reads it, draws the controls, writes your choice into that app’s own preferences and tells the app, which applies it right away.
What does Harbor send over the internet?
Nothing. It reads one public file, catalog.json on this site, to learn the latest versions — at most twice a day, or when you press Check for Updates.
macOS says it can’t be opened.
Builds aren’t notarized yet. Right-click Harbor and choose Open, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Harbor.app.
